Gerald Rosenberg founded NewTechLaw in 1999 upon leaving Fliesler, Dubb, Meyer & Lovejoy LLP, a San Francisco Intellectual Property law firm. Mr. Rosenberg previously worked as patent counsel for the Hughes Malibu Research Center in Malibu California.

Mr. Rosenberg's academic and technical background spans a broad range of technologies from material sciences and semiconductor physics to complex microelectronic computer system designs.

His legal practice includes all aspects of high-technology Intellectual Property Law with a special emphasis on the acquisition, development and protection of high-technology patent portfolios.

Mr. Rosenberg focuses a substantial portion of his practice on serving the legal and business needs of emerging growth companies in the areas of electronics, computer systems and peripherals, software, and semiconductor technologies.

Mr. Rosenberg is experienced in the negotiation, structuring, and preparation of complex patent licensing agreements, OEM and VAR agreements, strategic technology development and joint venture agreements, and manufacturing and supply agreements.

He is also experienced in supporting the formation and financing of such new technology businesses. Mr. Rosenberg is quite familiar with the Intellectual Property aspects of private financings, public offerings, and mergers and acquisition transactions.
